An equipment register that accumulates history instead of listing inventory.
Every piece of critical equipment gets a record: chillers, lifts, alarms, pumps. Each asset carries its category, its warranty, its runtime meter and its complete service history. The asset sits inside its building and, where it matters, inside a specific unit, so you always know which floor the failed air handler serves.
An asset register that only lists equipment is an inventory. Prova’s register accumulates history instead: every work order, cost, photo and failure recorded against that asset stays attached to it. When you decide whether to repair or replace a fifteen-year-old chiller, the argument is already documented. When a contractor calls a fault new, the service history says otherwise.
Asset
Category, warranty, location and service history, held against the building and unit it serves.
Runtime meter
The asset's counter. Hours run, cycles turned. Drives usage-based maintenance.
Runtime readings
Append-only observations: manual reads, schedule accruals, corrections, meter resets. Rows are never edited; a correction supersedes and the lineage stays.
Operating schedules
Hours per weekday in the site's timezone, minus that jurisdiction's holidays. The declared assumption that turns wall-clock days into machine-hours between real reads.
In practice
The chiller at Rotterdam HQ fails for the third time this year, and somebody has to decide whether to repair it again.
Nobody had to reconstruct anything. The case for replacement was written by six years of ordinary work being recorded in the right place.
Illustrative walkthrough. Not a customer record.
Operating schedules accrue machine-hours from a declared duty cycle between real reads, so usage-based plans work before any telemetry exists.
Yes, in bulk from standard CSV files, and our team completes the initial data onboarding with your staff before launch.
The reset is a row in the ledger, not an erasure. You can still see what was believed at the time and what corrected it.
